Supplementary programmes at LUBC are designed to support aspiring students in building essential academic and practical skills alongside their main coursework. These programmes cover areas such as academic writing, research methods, presentation skills, and digital tools — all aimed at helping students stay confident, engaged, and ready for the demands of higher education.

  • University Foundation Certificate 

    Aspiring students may begin with the Foundation Programme, where they will build core academic and language skills, explore future study options, and develop the habits needed to succeed in higher education — all within a supportive, international learning environment.

    • 10-Month Foundation Programme

      Perfect for students preparing to enter university-level education. Learn the basics of business, computing, and communication.

    • Progression to Our Accredited UK Degrees

      Successful completion lets you move straight into undergraduate degrees with our university partners.

    • 3 Intakes per Year – February, June, October

      Flexible start dates make it easier to plan your academic journey.

    Students who have not yet met the following minimum entry requirements for our BA (Hons) Business Administration programme will begin their academic journey through the University Foundation Certificate:

    • A Levels / IB / OSSD
    • Other recognised Year 12 qualifications
    • NCC / HNC / HND / GED
    • Other High School / Academic transcript
  • LUBC Bridging Programme

    The Bridging Programme focuses on academic writing, critical thinking, and subject-specific knowledge to ensure aspiring students are fully prepared for the final stage of their degree. 

    As part of the  BA (Hons) Business Administration programme, students will have the opportunity to spend a semester at London Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom — gaining direct international exposure, experiencing campus life abroad, and engaging with a global learning community.

    This semester abroad not only enhances academic confidence but also builds independence, cultural awareness, and valuable connections with peers and faculty overseas. It’s a chance to study in the UK, experience new perspectives, and return with a stronger foundation for graduation and beyond.

    The Earn and Learn Programme offers aspiring students a chance to gain real-world work experience while continuing their studies during the semester. This flexible pathway is ideal for those looking to build professional skills, explore career interests, and grow their confidence in a working environment.

    Students will have access to part-time job opportunities with trusted local partners, along with practical support such as CV-building workshops, interview coaching, and workplace readiness training. It’s a valuable way to strengthen resumes, earn an income, and develop time management and communication skills — all while progressing through their academic programme.

    This pathway is optional but encouraged for students who are ready to take on responsibility, expand their networks, and prepare early for the transition from student life to working life.

Admission & Entry Requirements

We welcome aspiring students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. Whether applying to our Foundation or Undergraduate programmes, each applicant is assessed fairly and guided through the next best step in their academic journey.

  • University Foundation Certificate 

    Aspiring students who do not meet undergraduate entry criteria will begin with the UFC:

    • IGCSE
    • Myanmar BEHS
    • High School Results
    • GED
  • Undergraduate Admission

    Aspiring students who already meet any of the following may skip the UFC and start directly in the undergraduate programme:

    • A Levels, IB, OSSD
    • Other Year 12 Qualifications
    • NCC / HNC / HND / GED
  • English Proficiency (For All)

    All aspiring students must meet one of the following:

    • IELTS 5.5 (for UFC)
    • IELTS 6.0 (for Undergraduate)
    • LMU English Placement Test (60% or above)
